Artist Statement  

When I consider the ocean I think of renewal, regeneration, and relaxation.

Whether crowded or remote, we are drawn to places where land connects with sea. The primal power of the ocean leaves us awestruck. We see swimmers dodge waves or plunge into them, children squeal and splash, and parents faces warmed by the sun.

This project includes beaches teaming with people and those offering contemplative solitude. Whether viewed from a white cliff or a crowded shore, the connection between land and ocean is a magical force for people everywhere.
